Key Takeaways

The answer to who will get the next big Las Vegas residency is … not Beyonce.

Live Nation poked the BeyHive by posting this photo on Sunday. (Image: Instagram/@livenationvegas)

Live Nation set music fans across the US up for the huge disappointment on Sunday by posting to Instagram a photo of a woman with light hair in a cowboy hat, cryptically shot from behind, and telling fans to expect a “big announcement” on Monday.

Beyonce has been appearing in videos and photos in a cowboy hat to promote her new country album, “Cowboy Carter,” which became the most-streamed album of 2024 within a day of its March 29th release.

Lainey Wilson. (Image: seatgeek.com)

But the mystery cowgirl turns out to be Lainey Wilson. She ll perform just one show, not a residency, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena during NFR weekend on Dec. 14, as part of her Wildflowers and Wild Horses tour. Her opening acts will be Tracy Lawrence and Mae Estes.

Though Wilson is a highly accomplished and respected country singer/songwriter who last performed four dates at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in December, she s no Beyonce. (Because who is?)

Live Nation s photo caption read, “Vegas, hold your horses … wild horses, that is.” So the apparently figured it could alert Wilson fans (who call themselves “wild horses”) while simultaneously stoking interest from the BeyHive, as Beyonce’s fans are known.

OMGGG BEYONCEEEEEE, commented @n.i.k.o__00.

BETTER NOT BE!” added @trentmacbain. “I GOT RENT TO PAY HELLOOO.

If this isn’t beyonce yall wrong bcs yall know what you doing… wrote @xadriaxn_.

Interest is the same thing as crushing disappointment, right?

Tickets for Wilson s Dec. 14 Las Vegas concert go on sale 10 a.m. PT Friday, June 7, through Ticketmaster.

Adele’s Viral MisunderstandingAdele’s viral response to a homophobic fan appears to have been an awkward misunderstanding. (Image: ZumaPress)

Adele made international headlines by pausing her show at Caesars Palace on Saturday to respond to a homophobic heckler in her crowd.

Per footage on social media, the superstar singer heard an audience member yell, “Pride sucks!” as she chatted with the audience between songs. The day marked the first day of Pride Month, an annual celebration for the LGBTQ+ community.

“What was that? Did you just say, ‘Pride sucks?!’” Adele responded. “Did you come to my fucking show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you fucking stupid? Don’t be so fucking ridiculous!”

More than 10.5 million people posted by the pop culture news account Pop Base. And new headlines are about the confrontation.

Yet another video, captures, quite clearly, the person yelling “Work sucks!” It was in response to the superstar discussing her busy work schedule.

Oops.

Beatles ‘LOVE’ to Get Back to Stage?Ringo says bye, bye, ‘LOVE,’ with a little help from his friends, backstage at the show last week. (Image: Cirque du Soleil)

Ringo Starr suggests a possible future for Cirque du Soleil’s “The Beatles LOVE” following its final show at the doomed Mirage on July 7.

In an interview with San Diego Union-Tribune reporter George Varga, the Fab Four’s former timekeeper said: “Of course, people are talking about maybe (this), maybe (that). And one part of me thought, you know, it’d be good to do a late-night ‘LOVE’ show. Because we (The Beatles) have some very, not dark but not-too-bright songs.

“But anyway, they’ll do what they do and let me know.”

Varga, who was on a time-limited phone interview, didn’t press Starr to elaborate. But it’s a good bet that the “talking people” Starr referenced were Cirque officials, who were blindsided by The Mirage’s sudden decision to transition into the new Hard Rock Hotel Casino and Guitar Hotel.

Starr paid his third and final visit to “Love” on Thursday, with members of his All-Starr Band in tow. Two nights later, the band closed out a run at The Venetian Theatre.
